24 local authorities have been ordered to join Tawau International Cultural Festival

Datuk Dr Haji Jaujan Haji Sambakong, State Local Government and Housing Minister has directed the 24 local authorities in Sábakong to take part to the ninth Tawau International Cultural Festival (Budaya Etnik Millenium Era 2020). The festival will be held in an open space, in front of the Tawau Municipal Council (MPT) building on 18-21 March. 

The President of the Tawau Council, Datuk Amrullah Kamal, said that 30 ethnic groups are living in Tawau, alongside Indonesian and Indian people who will attend the festival. He had earlier made a kind call to Jaujan with the Deputy Chairman, Koh Kian Leong.

A welcoming dance from the Council field to the ' West Gate ' of Chester Street will take place on 21 March at 15:45 p.m. The ' West Gate ' of Chester Street to the MPT building is the origin of an ethnic parade. The event starts at 7.30 p.m.

He hoped that the success of the welcome dance "Sumazau" (at least 3,000 people) and the ethnic parade (at least 3,000 people) would be able to be listed in "the Malaysia Record Books."

"We expect, participating and encouraging 70,000 people in Tawau, including foreign visitors.

We will also have a program in the program of a four-day event, including trishaw riding, gala dinner at night, workshops at the Tawau International Cultural Festival and the competition for photography, "said Amrullah.

According to him, there were three main segments of the concept of presentation: (a) Medley's new Ethnic group performance in the shore; (b) Medley's new dance formation performance in the interior zone of Ethnic groups; and (c) international performance in the field of dance (Indonesia and India).
