Hundreds of tourists landed in Kota Kinabalu from a cruise

KOTA KINABALU -:

The Vasco Da Gama cruise ship stopped in the town of Kota Kinabalu, and on Thursday hundreds of its cruise tourists disembarked the city.

City retailers from the malls to the smaller retail stores were pleasantly surprised to see over 100 Caucasians tourist.

In and out of the Kota Kinabalu Port Guard Post Gate there were three tourist coaches in the afternoon to benefiting tour operators and attractions around  the CBD and beyond.

It is a great welcome for the tourism industry to step down in South East Asia due to the outbreak of Covid-19, given the lack of visitors from China and Korea linked to airlines who were both stopped and discouraged.

The economic contagion triggered by the Black Swan health event this year is affecting many businesses, coupled with a decline in Malaysian buying confidence and a weakening of purchasing power because the ringgit is low.
