From Monday (April, 13), following the extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO), the flyover from Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah from George Town, which heads to Bayan Lepas, will be closed.

Southwest District of OCPD Supt A.A. Anbalagan said that any vehicle coming in the direction of Bayan Lepas from George Town would be diverted to the roads under the flyover.

He claimed in a statement that the road closure will start at the Sungai Nibong Pesta site and is closed from 7 a.m.

However, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah's flyover to George Town from Bayan Lepas is still accessible for the regular traffic.

He also added that the police had set up eight blocks during MCO in the south-western district, "The movement of people in the region is also to be limited because the police mounted blocks in the road along the route.
