KUALA LUMPUR:

From beginning in June to July, Malaysia Airlines increased it's domestic and resumes its international flights to make local and international travel easier as other countries start lifting border limits.

In a statement, the airline stated that, before normalizing its schedule in October for both domestic and international destinations, it would adjust its network capacity from time to time to ensure passenger demands are met.

Resumption of services will permit the reunification of families who had not been able to return to their families in many parts of the world, because of travel restrictions.

However, passengers are advised to review their entry and exit criteria in most countries before traveling.

Captain Izham Ismail, Chief Executive of Malaysia Airlines Group, said that the airline is looking forward to welcoming passengers on board.

“We shall continue to ensure their safety, health, as well as their comfort by introducing new initiatives aligned with international safety and health protocols as part of our commitment to offering passengers peace of mind throughout their journey with us.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their continued support and confidence in Malaysia Airlines throughout these challenging times,” said Izham.

In coordination with the health and airport authorities, Malaysia Airlines, at the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, implemented several enhanced safety measures and protocols to ensure the health and well-being of the passengers.

These measures include temperature check, sanitation and disinfection of all properties and facilities, enforcement of social distancing, mandatory use of masks, and the installation of protective barriers at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport ( KLIA) check-in counters, and transfer desk.

The airline also guarantees that all aircraft are cleaned and disinfected before and after all flight, and the lavatories are kept clean at regular intervals during flight by the cabin crew.

Passengers planning to travel on Malaysia Airlines to their homes can book their tickets on the official airline's website at https:/www.malaysiaairlines.com/my/en.html, or via the Malaysia Airlines app, which includes some available booking dates.

The flight schedule is available on the website and passengers are advised to check-in via the Internet or mobile devices to reduce interaction and prevent queues at the airport, particularly on domestic and regional routes.
