MALAYSIA:

The government continues the policy of not permitting foreigners to enter the country at this point, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. He said that permission to enter the country applies only to the Malaysian citizens through the entrance gates of the country.

"Malaysian can be brought in and they will be quarantined for 14 days first," he told a press conference on the MCO.

He commented on a report on the proposal for AirAsia Indonesia to resume flights to Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru from Surabaya on 18 May.

According to Ismail Sabri, he also contacted Air Asia and was told that this was not true.

He also said that renovation works and carpentry work involving the needs of consumers were permitted.
