TAIWAN:

Taiwan has initiated a three-phase initial program, which is now in the first phase, to welcome foreign visitors in the third quarter of the year.

In this process, a tourism prevention plan has been drawn up, including a rapid outbreak action plan, various tourism-related guidelines.

Education courses and support courses are offered to all visitors in the hotel and tourism industry to encourage visitors to 'travel with confidence.'

In the second phase, the budget for tourism re-introduction is expected to be 2 billion TWD (US$ 33 million). As part of the training, up to 300,000 tourism participants will be entitled to additional aid on local FAM tours.

Various sightseeing routes will be planned by connecting local specialty outlets, homestays, attractions, shopping, and more, to be promoted when the full travel plan officially resumes. These tours allow them a familiarisation of measures implemented, and the processes they must follow, thereafter.

Thereafter, the aim is to usher in the third phase, where Taiwan will excitedly await for international tourists to arrive, having created, implemented, and successfully tested the measures adopted at the domestic level.
