PERAK:

The inaugural Scanda Sky flight from Ipoh to Guangzhou has started yesterday.

The flight departed at 10.10 pm from the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport and arrived at Baiyun International Airport on Thursday (November 28) around 2.10 am. A launch ceremony is expected to take place today in Guangzhou.

The aircraft was given a usual "water salute" before its took-off.

Scanda Sky Executive Chairman Tengku Faizwa Tengku Razif said in her speech that every Wednesday and Saturday the airline has two weekly flights to Guangzhou.

She said the premium airline chartered is aimed at being different, giving passengers a comfortable flight.

"We have the ambassador for Scanda Sky who will direct and support passengers from here to Guangzhou checkout," she said.

Tengku Faizwa said that they are working closely to introduce visitors to Perak with the government of Guangzhou.

We are planning to welcome from Guangzhou 40 to 50 people every week from next year. "We have good feedback.

"We're also going to try, instead of transiting to Kuala Lumpur, make them remain at Perak longer," she said.
