Green Light for tourism activities in CMCO, RMCO areas

Tourism is now permitted in areas under Control Order (CMCO) and Movement Order Recovery Control Order Tourism (RMCO).

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, however, said that tourism activity in the areas of CMCO will be limited to 50%.

He said public and tourist attractions, such as zoos, farms, aquariums, entertainment centres, recreational areas, farms and nature parks were among the activities allowed.

"Also allowed are museums, libraries, art galleries, and cultural heritage sites among others," he told reporters.

Ismail Sabri added the green light was given for operation to theme parks and family entertainment centres.

He also said that, according to conditions set by the local authorities, the Government agreed to allow spas, reflexology, massages, wellness including pedicure and manicure services from 6 a.m. until midnight.

Ismail Sabri said it will also be possible for the creative industry to operate strictly following the standard operating procedure.

He said that without public presence, practises such as events, shows, movies and live shows in the artistic field are permitted.

According to him, the total amount of management, artists and crews allowed for CMCO and RMCO areas are limited to 70% of the normal capacity.

"Busking activities are also permitted in premises such as cafés, shopping centres and food courts."
