Korea Travel Fair Is Back This May With A Hallyu Star Appearance

Love Korea and Hallyu? You're in luck, though, as Our Tampines Hub will play host to a magnificent travel fair this May organized by the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO). From May 12 to 14, the Korea Travel Fair will bring together a veritable gold mine of travel offers, locations, and merchandise under one roof. 

The well-known South Korean actor Lee Do-hyun will attend the KTO event on May 13 to meet his Singaporean admirers and talk about his travels. Continue reading to learn all there is to know about this must-attend event!  

All of your travel and Hallyu demands can be met at the Korea Travel Fair. To learn about Korea's wide variety of attractions, you can speak with local tourism associations. Apart from Seoul, there is a lot more to discover in South Korea. There will be travel agencies from Jeju, Gwangju, Busan, Gangwon, and other areas to quench your interest in lesser-known treasures beyond the capital. 

There will also be representatives from travel companies like Chan Brothers, ASA Holidays, and EU Holidays who can show you the amazing Korean packages they have put together. There will be almost 55 exhibitors in all. 

Naturally, the fair satisfies the needs of Hallyu fans who crave K-culture. A K-food cooking class is available where participants may learn how to prepare traditional Korean foods including bibimbap (mixed rice) and sun-dubu jjigae (soft beancurd stew). A K-beauty session is available for anyone interested in learning how to replicate the cutest Korean idol makeup looks. 


The KTO fair will also feature screenings of Korean films and a performance of The Painters, a kind of nonverbal art. This captivating show combines dancing, acting, humor, and visual effects to provide an event that is sure to dazzle any art enthusiast. 

Free admission! The public is welcome to attend the Korea Travel Fair, and admission is free. The number of spots available for the K-food cooking class and K-beauty workshop is however restricted. You must reserve a time slot in advance if you want to participate in these activities. You might be familiar with Lee Do-hyun from the Netflix revenge drama The Glory or the gloomy fantasy series Hotel del Luna. He made his acting debut in the 2017 television series Prison Playbook, and for his supporting part in Still 17, he was nominated for "Character of the Year" at the 2018 SBS Drama Awards. 

On Saturday, May 13, he will make an appearance at the Korea Travel Fair. Fans can anticipate learning about his travels throughout Korea for his drama shooting. In a contest on a travel talk show, a select few people can earn an autograph from Lee.
