Malaysia bagged 12th rank in world bank doing business 2020 reports

Malaysia:According to International Trade and Industry Ministry, Malaysia is ranked 12th position amongst 190 economies worldwide which is a further improvement from previous years 15th position. Minister Datuk Darell Leiking said “This was supported by strong leadership from PEMUDAH and advisory contributions from the World Bank Group. Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) as the Secretariat of PEMUDAH works closely with the respective technical working groups to initiate and monitor the implementation of the various improvement initiatives. The improved ranking was due to the public and private sector members’ collaboration and commitment within the technical working groups under the Special Task Force to Facilitate Business-PEMUDAH to improve the ease-of-doing-business environment. Darell also added that PEMUDAH in order to have positive impact always launches improvement initiatives for business around the sector to promote regulatory efficiency, good governance and productivity. With the improved performance and rating it is clearly evident that the ongoing reform initiatives are in the right track and are taking Malaysia into a right direction, discretely. It happens to enhance efficiency, competitiveness, productivity and governance for business and promoting investment in the go to accelerate business as well as national economic development and prosperity as a whole. The Doing Business Report surveys the regulation governing and measuring the processes for business incorporation, getting permit for building, electricity connection, paying taxes, engaging in international trades, accessing credits etc.
