MALAYSIA:

Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri has announced another initiative under the Tourism Recovery Plan 2022 (PRE2.0), whereby Malaysians can get e-vouchers worth from RM50 to RM100 for booking domestic hotel rooms online. Made in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, e-vouchers can be obtained when booking a hotel room through the Shopee application.

The initiative is meant to boost domestic tourism. Among the accommodations involved are hotels under the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners (MAHO), Malaysian Budget and Business Hotel Association (MyBHA) and Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia (RHSM) Sdn Bhd.

Moreover, the e-vouchers are given at a first come first serve basis, with a redemption limit of 3 times for each MyKad owner from 15 July to 31 December 2022. Over 33,000 e-vouchers are up for grabs, with the applicable accommodation, minimum spend and value of e-vouchers are as per below:

  • 19,900 RM100 e-vouchers for over 200 hotels under MAH and MAHO. Minimum spend of RM150
  • 7960 RM50 e-vouchers for 229 hotels under MyBHA. Minimum spend of RM60

Besides that, PRE2.0 also offers rebate of RM50 with a minimum purchase of RM170 (standard room) or MRm210 (family room) for the first 5970 buyers at its hotels. Unlike the e-vouchers mentioned previously, the rebate can be made by walk-in, email or telephone.

Previously, under the same PRE2.0 initiative, Malaysians can claim up to RM100 domestic flight e-vouchers through four airlines.
