PENANG:

Inaugural Penang's virtual roadshow to China 2021 (PVRTC 2021) is to be held from 18 to 20 May by the Penang Convention and Exhibition Bureau.

PVRTC 2021 is to showcase in its key China regional markets in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Chengdu 20 of Penang's top tourism and business event product for this first edition.

Despite the pandemic that has devastated the global public health and travel landscape since early 2020, China has recovered the fastest.

In addition, the country has always been an important market for Malaysia, particularly Penang. Since 2016, Malaysia has welcomed over two million Chinese nationality visitors per year, according to the most recently available statistics.

From Penang, 26 exhibitors will be participating in PVRTC 2021.

PVRTC 2021 will bring together 150 pre-qualified China buyers from the broader travel, business events, corporate and association meetings, and incentive markets with Penang's finest sellers of hotels, convention centers, unique venues, DMCs, and events organizers.

PVRTC 2021 will also welcome 100 pre-registered trade visitors throughout the three-day event to ensure the show's exclusivity.

Each day of the show, PCRTC 2021 will have a virtual forum to bring together leaders from both China and Penang on tourism and events to talk about future trends and the countryside of post-Covid19 travel and business events.
