The Department of Tourism (DOT) reiterates its backing for the Marcos administration’s aim to lift the medical tourism sector in the Philippines by cooperating with industry shareholders in aesthetics, ageing and wellness. Christina Garcia Frasco, the Tourism Secretary highlighted that it is seen as a probable robust progression hub for the Philippines.

The Tourism Secretary said this in the course of the inaugural event of the 11th  Philippine Academy ofAesthetic and Age Management Medicine Inc. convention.

The tourism chief said that last year, the size of the medical tourism market remained at USD 115 billion, and the segment is predicted to develop at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32.51 percent between 2022 to 2023.
