MotoGP is an important driving force for bringing tourist in Malaysia!

Recently a meet and greet event was held with the presence of teams and riders of MotoGP sponsored by Tourism Malaysia. The Malaysian MotoGP is considered an important driving force in bringing the maximum number of tourists into the country. 

Director-General of Tourism Malaysia Datuk Musa Yusof was also present at the meet and greet event. He said that MotoGP has grabbed approximately 1.81 million tourists from 1999to 2019. He presented a statement at the session with MotoGP riders at MaTIC (Malaysia Tourism Centre), Jalan Ampang.

Riders present at the event were Franco Morbidelli, Adam Norrodin, John McPhee, Ayumu Sasaki, Khairul Idham Pawi, Brad Binder, Jorge Martin, Can Oncu, Remy Gardner, Tetsuta Nagashima. The riders were from the PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team, PETRONAS Sprinta Racing Team, Red Bull KTM Ajo Racing Team; ONEXOX TKKR SAG Team graced the event. 

During an engagement session, the riders interacted with questions and answers related to tourism sites and Malaysia. The riders were basically asked about their experiences in Malaysia and what is their preferred destination and tourism sites to visit in Malaysia. The event was followed by autographs and photography sessions.

The teams and riders sport the “Visit Malaysia” logo on their race bikes and race suits, visible to TV viewers worldwide. Viewers in Malaysia are proud to see the “Visit Malaysia” logo in the world’s premier racing classes and on the international stage. The branding sets well for Tourism Malaysia’s “Visit Malaysia 2020” programme.
