Perak emphasizes more on tourist safety in conjunction with VM2020

In conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2020, Mr, Miss and Mrs. Tourism Perak 2020 took place yesterday at Casuarina Hotel@Meru.

17 contestants joined the pageant for three categories. The event was officiated by Perak Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department Deputy Chief Asst Comm GS Suresh Kumar.

He said it is good to organize this type of event to exchange ideas between various industries such as media, hospitality, advertising, fashion designers among others.

When Tin Media reporter met him, he said the crime rate in 2019 has decreased to almost 5.2 percent for the state.

He added, "On the same note Royal Malaysia Police for the Perak Contingent emphasize more on the safety of the tourist".

"For instance, if you were to move around in Perak you will bump into a police personal because for us safety is very important and on that aspect no we have come up with the tourist police." 

" Very soon you will find in all the hotspot places, police personals will be there and they are very well trained and we have these policies quite some time but this year we are emphasizing more due to Visit Malaysia 2020 year".
