In preparation for post-COVID-19, the Kedah Government needs to simplify its growth plans and best management practices to improve the economy further.

The Sultan of Kedah, Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, said that the goal of investment inflows in particular planned projects for physical growth should continue, while programs aimed at improving human living standards should be streamlined and expanded.

"And 2020 is the completion of the 11th Malaysia Plan year. I expect the state government to draw up a draft plan for the next five years, based on the economic incentive model, to achieve its growth through the execution of the initiatives envisaged," he said.

The sultan also said the state government should help small-scale owners restore their businesses through existing departments and agencies and help families who have lost their income to keep their lives going.

His Majesty also asked the government to give the target community the right assistance and hoped the people would be truthful.
