KOTA KINABALU :

To keep the state free of Covid-19, Sabah extended its travel limits to South Korea on Sunday effective.

Foreigners with a history of traveling to South Korea in the last 14 days are not allowed to enter Sabah , said a release from the Sabah State Secretary.

In the last 14 days Malaysian citizens (non-Sabah residents) will not be permitted to enter Sabah with travel history to South Korea, said the statement

"There will also be no access to Sabah for all transit passengers from or via South Korea.

"South Korean nationals are advised to leave or return before visas expire. Only a visa extension of seven days can be issued if the visas expire."

Nonetheless, incoming flights with Malaysians, South Koreans and other nationals arriving on South Korean non-direct flights are permitted.

"Sabah to South Korea outgoing flights are also allowed," the statement said.

In the meantime, a mandatory 14 day home quarantine would extend to all Sabahans, Sabah permanent residents of Sabah and Sabah workers who have job passes, students passes, long-term social visits and exemptions returning from South Korea.
