Kuching::

 The annual Sarawak Harvest and Folklore Festival will once again take place at the Sarawak Cultural Village on April 17 to 19, 2020.

The festival which is organized by the Sarawak Cultural Village and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Sarawak, is a prelude to Sarawak’s Gawai Dayak Festival which is celebrated every first day of June.

One of the highlights of the festival is the musical drama from the Bidayuh community entitled “Rajah Sebrah & The Golden Bamboo”. There will also be an ethnic beauty pageant, “Miss Cultural Harvest Festival 2020” and the Sape World Concert & Workshops, featuring Sarawak’s renowned Sape players.

This three-day event is an ideal place for individuals of different backgrounds to meet, discuss and compare notes on traditional cultures through the exchange of ideas, the portrayal of dances, music, arts, and crafts.
