Seven Wells of Serendah has been listed in the inventory of National Heritage

KUALA LUMPUR:

Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said Perigi Tujuh Serendah (Seven Wells of Serendah) has been listed in the inventory of National Heritage and is designated as a National Heritage Site.

If it meets the criteria, the site will be considered to be upgraded as a national heritage.

Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) will work with local authorities in the Hulu area Selangor to ensure that the interesting places within the area are highlighted as a National Tourism Product,Nancy said in a statement.

She said during the Siri Jelajah Semarak Pelancongan Domestik in Hulu Selangor that "This gazetting will add value to the tourism attractiveness, in addition to maintaining and protecting the heritage of the heritage". 

Also present,Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) general secretary Noor Zari Hamat.

The Seven Wells of Serendah is maintained by the Hulu Selangor Drainage and Irrigation Department, while the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (MOTAC) will engage in discussions to see what improvements can be made in the area.
