KOTA KINABALU :

Sabah gave special permission to return to Tawau to 23 individuals, including 12 participants who wanted to participate at Sulawesi's canceled Tabligh meeting.

But only 18 of them arrived at Tawau jetty by boat from Nunukan Indonesia yesterday, State Secretary Datuk Safar Untong said in a statement.

He said that all 18 were sent for fourteen days of observation to the Tawau Quarantine Centre.

Three adults and two children did not return but planned to remain in Nunukan till the 14th of April, until the end of the MCO.

In the meantime, Safar stated that it had all local councils ordered food processing and factories to carry out disinfection to ensure a high degree of hygiene.

Safar, who is chairman of Sabah Covid-19, said the premises should be shut down and cleaned as soon as the Covid 19 exposure has been identified.
