Taman Manggis Recreation Park, the first park with LED Swings in Penang

GEORGE TOWN:

The first recreation park in Penang with LED swings was launch here at Taman Manggis Recreation Park.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said this recreational park is one of the Cleaner Greener Safetier and Healthier  Penang initiative aimed at improving the quality of life of the Penangites.

" I hope this initiative will continue, which I started when I was the state government exco ten years ago and I believe there have been changes in the state of Penang throughout these years." he said 

The mission of City Council of Penang Island ( MBPP) and Village Community Management Council of Transfer Road and Argyll Road worked together in setting up this park.

In his speech, he further added that quality vital parks with appropriate facilities are a vital part of a town's living capacity for people to breathe from the earthly confines of the offices and the busy urban life.

Besides, to ensure the safety of the public eight CCTV are also added at the park. 

The park is situated at Jalan Zainal Abidin in the center of town and is equipped with LED swings and exercise machines.
