Leaping Taiwan by Formosa Circus Art from Taiwan had their very first show in Penang, yesterday at Dewan Seri Pinang.

The show was mainly to develop the various contemporary circus arts of Taiwan, mixing them with other styles of performance including traditional forms, acrobatics, street culture, and theatre arts by trying to create a physical vocabulary that is unique in Taiwan.

State Heritage, Culture and Arts Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin was also present at the show.

1200 tickets were obtained by donation for Shih Chung Cawangan activity fund for four types of categories. 

This two hours show showed traditional techniques of Chinese acrobatics, the creativity of modern circus and new circus, and the aesthetics spirit of contemporary circus.

TIN Media managed to attend their show last night and was impressed by it.

The show also was stuffed in with some humor, dance and a modern theatrical presentation, making it even more entertaining.
