Tourism Malaysia kick-start their 2023 sales mission

From the Philippines, Tourism Malaysia is all set to attract a greater number of tourists to visit Malaysia once again. The organization from 20th to 28th May, 2023, is conducting its first Sales Mission to Manila and Davao. Also, the program is aiming to improve its inbound tourism to Malaysia. They are doing this by emphasizing niche sections like the ones from the MICE, Health Care, Family, and Medical Tourism, Education, and also for the Digital Nomads.


Headed by the Director General of Tourism Malaysia, Dato’ Dr Ammar Bin Abd. Ghapar, the team comprises 19 associations, including Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council, Melaka Tourism, Malaysia My Second Home agency, Selama District Council of Perak, along with other product owners and industry players.


Also, emphasized through the event are the impending “Visit Perak Year 2024” and “Visit Melaka”. Hereby the following states of Malaysia got a stage to showcase their exclusive culture and tourist experiences of tourists; this will make things easier and create the impetus for the impending Visit Malaysia Year 2025. In this event, Malaysia will be showcased to welcome 23.5m tourists from abroad and RM76.8b in receipts.


The sellers from Malaysia and buyers from the Philippines have assembled through business sessions and sumptuous dinners in both cities, in addition to the two seminars that took place at the Dusit Thani D2 Davao, Davao City and Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City, correspondingly.
