Tourism Malaysia named National Organisation of the Year

JAKARTA:

At the 10th Indonesia Travel and Tourism (ITTA) 2019/20 Awards ceremony held on December 17 at the Kasablanka Hall in Jakarta, Tourism Malaysia received the National Organisation of the Year award. Datuk Musa Yusof, Tourism Malaysia's director-general presented the award, before some 1,000 captains of the Indonesian travel trade industry.

Indonesia's Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Wishnutama Kusubandio officiated the 10th ITTA Awards 2019/20. In accepting the award Musa thanked ITTA Foundation for choosing the organisation as the winner of the newly-introduced category.

On accepting the award, Datuk Musa thanked ITTA Foundation for choosing Tourism Malaysia as the first winner of the newly-introduced category.

He said “This award is a testament to the great partnership and support that Tourism Malaysia received from industry players especially here in Indonesia,”

He added “This award will motivate us to make Visit Malaysia 2020 a greater success, thus achieve our goals of welcoming a total 30 million tourists to Malaysia and registering RM100 billion in tourist receipts by the year 2020. Our target for Indonesian visitors in 2020 are 4 million,”.


According to a statement released by  Tourism Malaysia "This award is a testament to the great partnership and support that Tourism Malaysia received from industry players especially here in Indonesia. The award will motivate us to make Visit Malaysia 2020 a greater success, thus achieve our goals of welcoming a total 30 million tourists to Malaysia and registering RM100 billion in tourist receipts by the year 2020,".
