Tourism Malaysia participates in Pakistan Travel Mart with VM 2020 campaign

Pakistan Travel Mart which is scheduled from 8-10 October at Karachi Expo Centre is all set and in order to entice Pakistani tourist to the country, Malaysia is bringing its food and cultural attentions and representing them in Pakistan. This is said to be the third edition of Pakistan Travel Mart. A total of 20 Malaysian Organisation are stationed under the Malaysia Pavilion representing the country which includes Hoteliers, Tourism product owners, Travel agents, Cultural Troupe and senior officials from Tourism Malaysia.

During PTM2019, A cultural troupe representing the Malaysian booth will be performing for the audiences and greeting the guests just in front of the booth in-line. Basically the main motive of Malaysia is to utilise the platform to promote the upcoming campaign of Visit Malaysia 2020 to the international attendees in the PTM and increase awareness for Malaysia in Pakistan including raising the interest of travel agents and tourists, portraying them the true potential of Malaysia as a destination.

Malaysia has a pretty clear objective to present Malaysia as a preferred travel destination in Malaysia, renewing Malaysia’s commitment and support for Pakistan Travel Industry to promote Malaysia, keeping Pakistan counterparts updated with the recent development in Malaysian tourism and establishing a wider range of network in the Pakistan tourism industry altogether.

The initiative taken by Malaysia for PTM 2019 is considered timely because it leveraged the upcoming Pakistan re-establishment of Islamabad- Kuala Lumpur route on 14th October which will fly twice a week on Boeing 777 with a total of 518 weekly seating capacity. It is joined by a 900-seating capacity, Milindo Airlines which brings travellers from Kuala Lumpur via Lahore five times a week.

In 2019 by Mastercard and Crescent rating 2019 Global Muslim Travel Index, Malaysia was named top Muslim Travel Destination. Malaysia’s diverse tourist attraction with diversity as the prominent feature has many things to offer island, beaches, shopping places, theme parks offering Pakistani tourists a pleasurable tropical holiday at perfectly reasonable prices.

Malaysia is also famous for providing the best healthcare and wellness according to the industry standards which is of international reputation, globally. According to Mastercard Global Destination Cities Index 2019 Report, Kuala Lumpur was given 6th rank in the most visited cities of 2018. A growth of 39.9 per cent was seen in terms of Pakistani tourism in Malaysia with increase travellers. In 2018, 74,478 tourists arrivals from Pakistan was recorded. Until June 2019 a total of 45,509 tourists are recoded from Pakistan establishing the growth of 30.9 per cent altogether.
