The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia is participating the PATA Adventure Travel Conference & Mart (ATCM) 2021 through its agency Tourism Malaysia. This year's event will take place on the 26th and 27th of May 2021, and attendees will be taken on a virtual tour throughout the two-day event.

PATA ATCM 2021, themed ‘Re-Generation for the Adventure Industry,' brings together tourism professionals working in adventure travel and responsible tourism to explore and explore new opportunities for environmental preservation and social sustainability within the industry.

Tourism Malaysia is joined by ten Malaysian organisations*, including six (6) industry partners and four (4) state tourism boards, at Asia Pacific's biggest travel trade event to connect buyers and sellers from across the world.

Malaysia's tourist business is increasingly concentrating on maximising the country's existing resources through ecotourism, rural and experiential tourism, as well as specialty tourism products. Similarly, adventure travel plays an important role in Tourism Malaysia's goal of positioning Malaysia as the world's top ecotourism destination.

Tourism Malaysia seeks to boost sustainability in the tourism business while promoting the natural beauties Malaysia has to offer, in accordance with the National Tourism Policy 2020-2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
