SINGAPORE:

Get ready for some cuteness in the air! The Pokemon Company has just launched Pokemon Air Adventures with a series of events and programmes in Singapore, beginning with a partnership with Scoot.

This partnership marks the first ASEAN airline outside of Japan to have an original Pokemon-themed livery on the exclusive Pikachu Jet TR, which was revealed last week, as well as unique Pokemon-themed in-flight experiences.

Apart from that, cute Pikachu-related merchandise will also be available for sale.

The Pikachu Jet, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with 375 seats, is scheduled to go on its inaugural flight on Sept 9, from Singapore (Changi) to Tokyo, Japan (Narita). Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will operate two scheduled flights a month on the jet – one to Tokyo and another to Seoul, South Korea.

Flight routes will be reviewed periodically and adjusted based on customers’ demands.

Of course, the Pikachu Jet will also be used for non-Pokemon-related flights as and when there is a need to, for maintenance and operational purposes. This means that some passengers who book other flights on Scoot may just get the chance to fly on the special jet.

And if that’s not enough, there is also a Pikachu Weekend happening in Singapore from Nov 18 to 20, at Gardens By The Bay. This will feature a night show held at Marina Bay, alongside a special Pokemon GO Safari Zone: Singapore event. Apparently, the characters Maractus and Shiny Purrloin will appear in the wild during this event.

On top of that, a purple T-shirt-wearing Pikachu can be found in Singapore from November for over a year too. Look out for this cutie if you ever find yourself in the neighbouring nation during that period.
