KELANTAN:

Kelantan will be recognized in more than 48 Asian countries as the country's culture and arts are displayed through paintings on Air Asia aircraft starting today.

Exco of Community Unity, Culture, Heritage and Tourism, Mayor Datuk Md Anizam Abdul Rahman said the first country to visit today was Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

"With motifs and cultural and artistic drawings like moonlight, leather puppets and Rehal gates displayed on the body of the aircraft, I think it will be interesting for tourists to learn more about Kelantan.

"This is one of the steps of the state government to market Kelantan to outsiders. We are very proud of this promotion approach, Insya-ALLAH, we will be able to achieve the tourist target in conjunction with the Kelantan Visit 2020 this year," he told Sinar Harian here.

Earlier, the state government delegation today spent time reviewing aircraft design in Sepang.

Also present were Deputy Secretary of State, Tengku Azmi Tengku Jaafar, President of Kota Bharu Islamic City Municipal Council (MPKB-BRI), Mr. Zainal Abidin Tuan Yusuf and several other government representatives.

Anizam said it was a historic event when it was first implemented by the state government since the Pas administration 30 years ago.

In addition, promotions involving destinations, food, and culture of Kelantan will also be included in the in-flight magazine Magazines 360.

Meanwhile, Laded Services Managing Director Syed Anuar Syed Ahmad said the aircraft would cover six aviation sectors at a frequency of four hours a day and that the advertisement would be on the aircraft for two years.

"There are many benefits to be gained through such promotions and we have placed Kelantan as an important destination in Asia and Kelantan is the state with the highest domestic flight traffic.

"I hope the Kelantan government can speed up the process of upgrading Sultan Ismail Petra Airport into an international airport so that the benefits and benefits that the people will have will be enjoyed later," he said.
