TERENGGANU:

The Terengganu government through the Entrepreneur Development Foundation (YPU) has allocated RM120,000 to 800 food vendors or an online Ramadan bazaar runner known as GanuShop that will start Ramadan.

Exco Entrepreneur Entrepreneur, Human Resources, Micro Industry, and Affairs Affairs Mohd Nurkhuzaini Ab Rahman said the 'standby allowance' would be paid RM150 each in the month of fasting.

He said the payment did not include the wages that the runner would receive through the delivery of food orders in GanuShop later.

?heir wages will be based on the distance of the traders and buyers. In the system later it will be calculated RM2 per five kilometers (KM) for a buyer.

"The runner-up application will be opened on Saturday or Sunday and we will limit 25 runners to each of the 32 constituencies," he said after attending a GanuShop briefing in Wisma Darul Iman today.

Mohd Nurkhuzaini said he had also discussed with the authorities that runners who registered with GanuShop could move the order within 10km using a special appointment.

He said GanuShop, which includes traders, buyers, and distributors, was the platform for Terengganu entrepreneurs to market their products and food during the month of fasting.

According to him, traders can already download the GanuShop app on the Android Play Store starting yesterday and so far more than 700 traders have registered while shoppers can do so a few days before Ramadan.

?ne of the conditions for traders who want to sell through GanuShop is to have food handling or fluoride injections to keep food in a clean and orderly manner.

"Priority was given to 7,180 Ramadan bazaar traders last year as they understood how food preparation was following the standards of the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP)," he said.

GanuShop is co-ordinated by YPU and is assisted by 32 State Community Service Centers.

All food orders through GanuShop will close noon on daily and delivery will begin after 3 pm.
