Penang is set to welcome a groundbreaking global event in the field of dentistry and oral health as the International College of Dentists (ICD) Section XV and the World Stomatology Institute (WSI) bring their 10th International Conference and Induction Ceremony to the Setia SPICE Convention Centre from 18 to 20 April 2025.

Jointly organized with the Penang State Government and the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), the event marks a major milestone in Malaysia’s medical and academic landscape, attracting global thought leaders, researchers, and practitioners in dentistry and medical sciences.

The official announcement was made during a press conference attended by YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State Executive Councillor for Tourism and Creative Economy; Adjunct Professor Dato’ Dr. How Kim Chuan, President of ICD Section XV and WSI; and Mr. Ashwin Gunasekeran, CEO of PCEB.

Themed “New Era of Digital AI Technology in Medicine and Dentistry”, the conference highlights the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on clinical practices, diagnostics, public health, and education.
