Malaysia has taken centre stage at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai 2025, marking its 31st participation at the prestigious event held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 28 April to 1 May. Spearheaded by Tourism Malaysia, the participation aims to strengthen Malaysia’s presence in the Middle East and promote the upcoming Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VM2026) campaign.
Leading the Malaysian delegation is Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture Malaysia, Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, alongside Director General of Tourism Malaysia, Datuk Manoharan Periasamy. Representing Malaysia at the event are 83 organisations, including travel agents, hotel groups, tourism product operators, state tourism bodies, and Batik Air as the strategic airline partner.
ATM Dubai 2025 offers a platform for Malaysia to showcase its diverse tourism offerings, rich cultural heritage, and unique travel experiences. The VM2026 campaign is designed to attract global travellers and boost the country’s image as a top destination in Southeast Asia.
“The Middle East has always been a crucial market for Malaysia. We’re excited to further build our connections here and welcome more travellers to explore Malaysia’s warm hospitality and cultural wonders,” said Dato Sri Tiong King Sing.
Tourism Malaysia is encouraging visitors to explore the Malaysia Pavilion at ATM 2025, where a preview of the VM2026 highlights is being presented.
Malaysia targets 45 million international tourist arrivals and RM270 billion in tourism receipts in 2025, with the Gulf region seen as a key driver of growth.
