MALAYSIA:

With the development of yet another tourist destination, Sabah's Kadaiaman constituency is witnessing an increase in rural tourism activities.

The new Mindakod eco-tourism facility at Kg Tengkurus, located in the heart of Kota Belud district, offers hiking and a camping area with river leisure options.

Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the conventional tagal system.

The people practice it by closing off a specific area of a river or forest to hunting and other activities for a set amount of time each year.

Only specific months are allowed for the region to be open.

48 households participated in the tourist program, according to Yonggoi Andah, chairman of Mindakod eco-tourism.
