Chief Minister's Cup championship has begun

A total of 79 domestic and foreign participants colored the Terengganu 2020 Chief Minister's Cup championship at the Terengganu International Endurance Park (TIEP) in Bidong Valley, Setiu beginning this afternoon.

The fourth edition of the tournament was attended by men and women including two national riders from Terengganu, Mohammad Fuad Hashim, and Azizatul Asma Datuk Abdullah.

The race is divided into three categories of 40 kilometers (km), 80 km and 100 km and is expected to take between six and 12 hours and will end at 5 am tomorrow.

The release ceremony for the three events was officiated by the Chief Minister, Dato 'Seri  Dr. Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar at 5.00 pm today.

Also present were the state Youth, Sports and NGOs Development Committee Chairman Wan Sukairi Wan Abdullah and the State Government Members.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Fuad, was determined to improve his record last season.

Mohammad Fuad, who is also the country's SEA athlete in the 1 * 100 km CEI category, is expected to compete against his countryman, Azizatul Asma, riding a horse named Mora Franka.

The tournament also stole the fans' attention when the youngest contestant, Farish Iskandar Mohammad Iskandar, made the calculations in the 40 km CEN category.

The awards ceremony will take place tomorrow morning and Ahmad Samsuri is expected to attend the event.
