EUROPE:

As demand grows, Emirates has announced the resumption of routes across its European network.

According to the airline, the easing of travel restrictions and an increase in demand has resulted in a “scaling up [of] services.” The UAE was added to the UK’s amber list earlier this month, which means that visitors arriving in the UK from Dubai no longer need to stay in a hotel.

By the end of October, the airline will operate 77 weekly flights to the UK, including a six-times-daily London Heathrow operation with five A380 services, double daily A380 flights to Manchester, ten-times-weekly services to Birmingham, and daily services to Glasgow.

The airline has also announced plans to increase flights and capacity to over ten European cities, including Birmingham, Barcelona, Brussels, Dublin, Hamburg, London, Lisbon, Madrid, Munich, Rome, and Zurich, with many of these cities receiving daily flights or more, according to the airline.

In Germany, the airline will increase frequency to daily flights in Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Munich by October 31, for a total of 50 flights per week. To increase capacity, flights between Düsseldorf and Dubai, as well as Hamburg and Dubai, will be operated by A380 aircraft.
The airline also intends to relaunch routes across its global network, beginning with flights between Male and Colombo on September 1. Male-Dubai service will be increased to four daily flights by mid-October, while the airline will begin operating four-times-weekly flights to Muscat on August 28 and daily flights to Sao Paulo on October 5.

Emirates currently operates over 70 weekly flights to 12 cities in the United States and will increase frequencies to Houston, Boston, and San Francisco throughout August to accommodate the seasonal influx of travellers.

As global borders reopen and travel restrictions ease, Emirates expands its network in a safe and sustainable manner, matching capacity with demand in accordance with market dynamics and operating conditions.
The airline has resumed passenger service to more than 120 destinations and has recovered nearly 90% of its pre-pandemic network.

Emirates also recently announced that it has extended its flexible booking policies to May 31, 2022. It revealed that it has processed almost 3.3 million refund requests since the start of the pandemic.
