TERENGGANU:

The Terengganu Ramadan bazaar app or 'GanuShop' is expected to launch on April 15.

State Entrepreneur, Human Resources, Micro Industries and hawker affairs chairman Mohd Nurkhuzaini Ab Rahman said the application, which included elements of merchants, buyers, food delivery and payment process, was a successor to the organization of Ramadan bazaars this year.

"The Entrepreneur Development Foundation (YPU) will lead each of the systems and operations that will be launched as early as April 15.

"We are currently running the application with over 30 entrepreneurs and it's in the final stages.

"We want every entrepreneur who is familiar with the system to respond so as not to cause any problems after launch," he said.

Elaborating, Nurkhuzaini said registrations involving food vendors and food deliveries would be handled by the State Legislative Assembly (PKM) Community Service Center (DUN) starting on launch day.

He added that priority was given to 7,180 Ramadan bazaars last year as their food preparation operations had been monitored by the Ministry of Health (MOH).

"So for the new registrations, we are following the 32 state legislatures, each of which will be voting after each dealer has registered online at the link we will provide at the launch.

"Coordination or briefing meetings will also be held with all state legislators throughout Terengganu," he said.
