SELANGOR:

The 1–3 September 2023 MATTA Fair will feature Tourism Selangor as Malaysia's Featured Destination, according to the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA).

The Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre Malaysia (MITEC) will play host to the nation's premier travel exhibition.

The Malaysian tourist industry will be on full show at this year's MATTA Fair, with tourist Selangor leading the way. The Tourism Selangor pavilion will feature 34 booths spread across an astounding 306 square meters of space. Each booth has been carefully planned and assembled. These booths will highlight the various landmarks, interesting sights, and dynamic local culture that make Selangor and Malaysia a must-visit location for tourists from all over the world.

"Our goal is to foster the expansion of domestic tourism in Malaysia by fostering a setting where all elements of the sector may work in harmony. To improve the entire experience of our buyers and make it more productive and fruitful, we are segmenting the domestic hall and giving our members a platform to do so, according to MATTA president Nigel Wong.

The administration of the fair can implement an innovative strategy for domestic tourism thanks to Tourism Selangor's engagement. Tourism Selangor intentionally divides the domestic hall into many categories, such as states, hoteliers, and free zones, to create a networking platform that is dynamic and promotes improved stakeholder engagement. This ground-breaking structure encourages simplified interaction and opens the door for brand-new, interesting commercial endeavors within the domestic tourism industry.

The MATTA has set an ambitious domestic target sales turnover of MYR70 Million as part of our commitment to advance the domestic tourist sector. This objective highlights the organization's commitment to promoting economic development, encouraging the creation of jobs, and displaying the enormous potential that Malaysia's domestic tourism market possesses, according to Wong.

The fair is accessible to the public from 1000 to 2100 on Friday through Sunday, September 1– 3. Admission is free. Visitors to the exhibition will have access to a shuttle bus service between KL Sentral and Sunway Putra Mall to MITEC.
