TripStax adds SME online booking solution to tech offering following TapTrip acquisition

The innovative business travel technology start-up TripStax recently announced the acquisition of the online travel agency TapTrip. TripStax can improve its eco-system of travel-management software thanks to the strategic development, enabling TMCs to provide an online booking solution.

TripStax is a unique travel tech tool stack for TMCs that was just introduced to the market three months ago. It is fully integrated and modular. The Core, a potent core data processing architecture that consumes and handles profile, booking, and financial data across each module, powers the system. TapTrip will be included as a module to the TripStax offering, enhancing the current state-of-the-art programs utilized by TMCs post-booking.

Incorporated in 2018 as a software startup, TapTrip offers SMEs a seamless trip booking and management tool across mobile, online, and app thanks to its award-winning, user-friendly platform. TapTrip avoided the pitfall of over-engineering the platform to compete with the larger mainstream corporate travel OBT providers in its approach to this mostly unmanaged, yet significant, section of the industry. As a result, TapTrip is a B2B application with a B2C-like level of simplicity. TapTrip has created Vessel, an unique crew and group booking management solution, in addition to its SME corporate booking platform. The vessel is primarily targeted at the marine and energy sectors.

Tom Young and Jack Timblin, who co-founded TapTrip, are joining TripStax in senior management and development positions. All other current TapTrip employees will also work for TripStax.

Before the acquisition, Neil Ruth, who was also one of TapTrip's founders, decided to quit the company. The TapTrip and Vessel brands were created by Neil, who also successfully guided the company to establish a long-term, ground-breaking arrangement with a major bank for the usage of TapTrip by their business banking clients.
