Cambodia, Nigeria vow to push for a memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation

CAMBODIA:

The Cambodian side and the Federal Republic of Nigeria aim to increase cooperation in the field of tourism together by promoting the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on future cooperation in the field of tourism.

The purpose of enhancing this cooperation was stated during a meeting between Sok Soken, Minister of Tourism, and Ms. Folakemi Ibidunni Akinleye, Ambassador of Nigeria to Cambodia, based in Manila, Philippines, on September 21 at the Ministry of Tourism office.

The two sides discussed strengthening tourism cooperation, while peace and stability are key to tourism development.

Soken presented the joint strategic initiative of the Ministry of Tourism to turn Cambodia into a vibrant, sustainable, and environmentally friendly tourism destination, focusing on a new initiative with five strategic pillars called “Increase 5-Build “and three supporting components called” Development 3-3Ds “.

In particular, Minister Sok Soken and the Ambassador of Nigeria expressed their intention to enhance cooperation in the field of joint tourism by promoting the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on future cooperation in the field of tourism.
