THAILAND:

As Lopburi, a province 150 kilometers north of Bangkok, begins its renowned annual sunflower festival, visitors are pouring into the area.
On Friday, December 1, hundreds of tourists took selfies under the yellow glow of 25 rai (4 hectares) of sunflowers at Maharach Ranch in Pattana Nikhom district.
They also strolled through the enormous tapestry of golden flowers, enjoying the cool December weather.
According to district chief Ratthaphol Turaphan, sunflowers bloom for a mere 20 days before they wither, so visitors should seize the opportunity to behold the magnificence of nature up close.
The district has added photo ops, such as a wooden gate and vintage signposts directing visitors to Lopburi's attractions, as an added incentive. Additionally, there are booths at the ranch where locals can purchase goods.
