SINGAPORE:

In a significant development, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and PhonePe have inked a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a milestone collaboration aimed at elevating the travel experience for visitors to Singapore. The MoU was formally signed at a ceremony on Wednesday, April 3rd, with STB’s Chief Executive, Melissa Ow, and Ritesh Pai, Chief Executive Officer of International Payments Business for PhonePe, leading the signing.

This partnership capitalizes on the existing Unified Payments Interface (UPI) linkage between India and Singapore, enabling seamless cross-border transactions directly from Indian bank accounts.
