THAILAND:

Home to six prominent Buddhist sites, UP is making efforts to popularise them among Thai Buddhist pilgrims.
Steered by the state tourism department, key players of the tourism sector have organised a camp in Thailand to promote UP’s Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Officials said the camp is seeing a daily footfall of over 5,000 visitors who are keen on seeking information about these pilgrimage sites.

Officials said the camp is also serving as a place to attract investment for the pilgrim destinations.
“The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Policy 2022 provides concessions, capital and interest investment for 32 eligible categories and attracts foreign direct investment in the area,” an official said.
