BALI:

According to Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno, Bali is anticipated to become a center of excellence for tourism in other regions, including the construction of high-quality, sustainable tourism villages that prioritize community empowerment.

Bali's desire to become a world-class travel destination linked to the success of its tourism and creative industries.

"With its Penglipuran Village, which is of top-notch quality, Bali is already well-known. At a seminar and working group with the theme "Building World-Class Green and Sustainable Tourism Village for Bali's Recovery and Transformation through Social Innovation," the minister stated that he anticipates additional Bali tourism villages will follow this trend "last Friday.

According to Uno, Bali must develop into a center of excellence in tourism village administration in addition to being a hub for tourism villages. Tri Hita Karana is a powerful life philosophy that has been applied in Bali and is noted for its ability to preserve cultural and natural variations in the face of globalization and standardization.

He said, "Especially in Bali with Tri Hita Karana where this notion is intimately tied to socio-economic growth, the concept of gotong royong (mutual collaboration) and environmental sustainability must be maintained and developed.

The minister outlined how the pandemic's effects on the tourism industry had prompted it and the creative economy to change the development paradigm in favour of sustainability in all spheres.

According to Uno, tourism villages have a significant influence on achieving the four pillars. Tourism villages are one of the economic cornerstones of the neighbourhood. The number of tourists visiting tourist communities grew by 300 per cent during the epidemic.

According to Uno, his ministry is still pushing for the creation of tourist destinations where locals are urged to take the lead in tourism-related activities through initiatives that engage the next generation and utilize funding from government agencies as well as non-governmental organizations.
