ASEAN SCHOOL OF TOURISM to launch its first meet session with members of OUM Sarawak Learning Center

ASEAN School of Tourism will launch its first meet session with OUM Sarawak Learning Center members. The Center was launched on the 28th of July 2022 by Assoc. Prof Dr Ahmad Izanee and the programs offered are the Singapore Industrial Attachment Training Program. The program would be managed by DHS. The program is unique as it provides an opportunity for Malaysian Youths to undergo a one-year attachment in Singapore after their one-month theory in Malaysia. During their attachment, the students are provided with a monthly allowance, accommodation, duty meals, and Insurance during and after their attachment period their work permit is provided by the Ministry of Manpower Singapore.

The program is a unique UPSKILL program as it provides individuals to experience Singapore Food Service Industry and create opportunities for individuals to further their career or progress into Diploma programs brought forward by learning Institutions in Singapore. The program fees are subsidised 80% by ASIA HOSPITALITY HUMAN RESOURCE ASSOCIATION and a total of 50 places are provided for youths in Sarawak. Youths who are keen to pursue the said program could seek information from OUM Learning Center in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri.

Successful students would also be provided with a one-way ticket from Kuching to Singapore. The ASEAN School of Tourism would also offer Bachelor's in Tourism Management program through the Hospitality Education Preparatory Program (HEPP). The School would also embark on short training programs with DHS via SKILLSPRO. SKILLSPRO is Asia's 1st Edu tech platform for the Hospitality Industry where DHS has 135 programs approved by HRD CORP of the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia. DHS & SKILLSPRO Founder Dr Sri Kumar Sivakumaran was in discussion with Assoc. Prof Dr Ahmad Izanee during the AFRICA EXPO 2022 Kuala Lumpur Malaysia at the World Trade Center Malaysia.
