Kelantan Crown Prince Dr Tengku Muhammad Faiz Petra was pleased to leave for the launch of the Kelantan Visit 2020 (TMK 2020) at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu here last night.


His arrival with his wife, Ms Sofie Mrs. Louise Johansson at 9.10 pm was greeted by Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob; His deputy, Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah, exco and state senator.

About 5,000 people from all walks of life celebrated the launch, which was also filled with cultural performances that reflected the uniqueness of Kelantan's culture and also stole the parade of 10 decorated cars representing each colony.

Meanwhile, Kelantan People's Community, Culture, Heritage and Tourism Exco, Datuk Md Anizam Ab Rahman, in his welcome speech, said that the Kelantan government through the State Tourism Information Center (TIC) had organized 66 key programs in preparation for welcoming tourists this year. held at the provincial, state and national levels.

Among the 66 key programs to be implemented during the year, 2020 are the Kelate Food Heritage Festival 2020, the Red Riding Festival, the Boating Competition (Golok River), the Equine (Horse) Festival and the Sunnah, the East Coast Fishing Festival, the International Wau Festival 2020, the Fruit Festival -Plants and Lights Party Kelantan.

“To ensure the target of 5.5 million tourists is achieved this year, the state government has also established strategic partnerships with players and tourism industry players.

Among the strategic partners of TMK 2020 are AirAsia, Malaysia Airport Berhad, Firefly, MyCar, E-Pearl Consortium, Malaysian Hotel Association, and Kelantan State Licensed Tourist Association, ”he said.

Anizam said that to introduce Kelantan to the international stage, several other promotions were also held such as the digital screen display at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) which could be displayed to all visitors using KLIA2 which is estimated at 33 million users a year.
