KELANTAN :

To promote Visit Kelantan Year 2024, the state government plans to work with nearly fifty influencers who were born in Kelantan on social media.

As a native Kelantanese, Datuk Kamarudin Md Nor, chairman of the Kelantan Tourism, Culture, Arts and Heritage Committee, stated that influencers would make the best "salespeople" for highlighting the state's attractions and distinctiveness to draw both domestic and foreign visitors.

"To advertise and tell a larger audience about Kelantan's varied tourism attractions, we require as many salespeople as we can.

"The influencers can use their social media platforms, like TikTok, for this," he stated last night at a relaxed discussion held in conjunction with Visit Kelantan Year 2024.

In addition, Kamarudin stated that efforts are underway to bring the Visit Kelantan Year 2024 to life by resuming operations of Scoot, Singapore Airlines' low-cost carrier, on the Kota Bharu- Singapore route, which has been on hold since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kamarudin stated that the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (LTSIP) Kota Baru management had briefed him on the situation.
