KOREA:

On Thursday, July 6, a boat carrying a group of Korean tourists near Tuaran's state capital became tangled in tree roots while navigating the Bolong River.

There were 14 tourists on board the boat at the time of the tragedy, including the skipper, two guides, nine ladies, and four males.

Due to the river conditions and other logistical issues at the time, it was thought that they got stuck for several hours before aid could reach them.

The yacht became stranded at that time after following strong river currents, said Hamsa Isnurdini, assistant director of operations for Sabah Fire and Rescue Department.

According to a statement he released on Friday (July 7), "We received a call about the matter at about 9.50 pm and a team was sent to respond."

He claimed that by utilizing smaller boats owned by residents, rescuers were able to remove the visitors from the ship.

According to Hamsa, the victims were brought to the riverbank before being given to agents from the travel agency.

According to reports, all victims were unharmed but disturbed by the ordeal. Our rescue efforts came to an end at 12.57 a.m., he stated.

To ensure everyone's safety, he encouraged tour operators and all guests to pay attention to the weather and river conditions before engaging in any activities.
