Lebanon:

According to industry insiders, Lebanon's tourism season has surpassed all projections, the National News Agency said on Thursday.

According to Jean Abboud, chairman of the Syndicate of Tourism and Travel Agencies, Beirut airport now receives 125 planes daily, up from 90 on typical days, with more than 21,000 arrivals, according to the report.

More than 40% of all passenger arrivals this summer were tourists, up from 30% the previous year, according to Abboud, which is "meaningful on the economic level."

He added that the overall number of Arab and foreign tourists throughout the year will approach 1.7 million. He predicted that the number of Arab and foreign tourist arrivals this summer will surpass 800,000.

According to the expert, there has been a constant rise in European travelers, who now account for more than 40% of all visitors to Lebanon. Jordanian, Iraqi, and Egyptian tourists then followed, with a combined proportion of 35%.

Due to an extraordinary economic crisis and a political vacuum as a result of political parties' failure to elect a president for the nation, Lebanon urgently needs the cash provided by the tourism industry.
