The Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) held the eagerly anticipated "Collaborate & Elevate" networking event last Friday at the Hin Bus Depot.

Despite the rain, 150 business representatives from the travel, hotel, airline, and tour industries showed up and attended the event.

Mr. Yeoh Soon Hin,Chairman of the committee for tourism and the creative economy in the Peang caretaker government,  was the guest of honour.

Additionally present was General manager Datin S. Barathi of Chief Minister Incorporate (CMI).

The chief executive Officer of PCEB, Ashwin Gunasekeren, and his team were there to make sure everything went as planned.

Ashwin expressed hope during his address that Penang will host more international conferences and events in 2023.

The staging of such important events would undoubtedly help the local economy and its stakeholders in the various industries, he concluded.

Yeoh also noted that Penang, one of their innovative ventures, has received attention in the South East Asian region.

He continued, "This is a testament to the state government's commitment to transform the state into a sustainable, diverse, and intelligent destination."
