Tiktok to promote Perak for Visit Malaysia 2020

Along Tourism Perak, the state government will promote the Perak tourism sector through its TikTok website, a short video application in an effort to attract tourists in conjunction with Malaysia's 2020 Visit Malaysia Campaign.

The latest application was received with rave reviews from millennial teens in Southeast Asia and the West.

Tan Kar Hing, Chairman of the committee for art, tourism, and culture of Perak Tourism.said at Perak State Assembly in Perak Darul Ridzuan Building yesterday at the end of the 2020 State Budget discussion that "Collaboration with TikTok would make the State worldwide known through the release of a campaign from time to time," 

Moreover, Tan said that Tourism Perak is generating more digital material to be promoted on various applications in social media like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, as more and more tourists search for information through websites and social media.

He said Weibo and Wechat's applications in social media would also help the private sector create direct flights between Guangzhou, China, and Ipoh to foster business growth in China.
