Airasia.com has launched a public digital donation initiative, 'Donate Sincerely' to facilitate individuals or organizations wishing to carry out their charity duties during Ramadan.

The 'Donate With Sincerity' fund, in collaboration with the Assofwah Almalikiyyah Trust Foundation, was launched through a sincere, safe and secure platform through which the funds will be used to help needy communities and frontline teams, as well as assist local traders during Ramadan.

Ikhlas.com chief Ikhlas Kamarudin said although this year's Ramadan celebration was different than before, it did not prevent him from continuing to give charity.

He said it was his pleasure to launch an initiative that would allow everyone to work together and help those in need later this month.

According to him, the initiative aims to provide a platform to help donors channel their sincere donations to be used for charity during Ramadan.

?e hope to distribute basic necessities to 5,000 families and breakfasts to over 20,000 individuals during this month of Ramadan.

"We will also buy supplies from over 100 small and medium-sized traders with the aim of helping their businesses through this difficult time," he said in a statement today.

Among the communities that will receive the donation will include underprivileged families, refugees, and non-profit bodies such as Soup Kitchen and orphanage.

Some of the funds will also be used to buy fast breakfasts for front-line troops such as medical officers, police, military, and others.

Sincerely, he said they would not have been able to succeed in the initiative without the help of everyone.

"We invite everyone who shares our vision and passion to work with us," he said, adding that the 'Donate With Sincerity' fund campaign would start today until May 22, 2020.

'Donate Sincerely' is part of the AirAsia Group's #InThisTogether campaign.

The portal will be launched in June 2020 and aims to assist Muslims around the world in fulfilling religious obligations including umrah, sacrifice, and shariah-based lifestyle.
